She's 1!

I'm not sure how this happened but it did, and quick!  You are such a blessing to our family!  We adore everything about you.  From your demanding, sassy and downright ornery personality at times to the sweet, gentle, loving and caring nature that already shows.  You are such an intelligent and beautiful soul.  Even though you don't communicate verbally, other than all of your jabbering that we don't quite understand, you know exaclty what we are saying to you.  We ask you to get a diaper, or ask you where your hair, nose, and button is and you always interract with us.  You have mastered the skill of "running" when you see us pull out a diaper or tucking things behind your back when you know you've got something you shouldn't have.  A few things you've picked up this past month: walking, giving kisses and hugs, putting your arms up when you want us to pick you up, and attempting to climb everything. 

Your first birthday party was so much fun having all of our friends and family join us to celebrate your special day!  I had so much fun creating and crafting everything for it! 

We can't wait to see your personality come out more and more and continue to watch you learn and grow.  Happy 1 Year Palmer Ann!  Love you, Sweet P!

11 Months

Well, we are on our way to having a big 1 year old! Every month I've talked about how you are getting such a personality. I think this month you have really shown us how big your personality is going to be. You are such a silly baby. You are constantly making faces at us and laughing any time you hear someone laugh; even random strangers in a restaurant. You finally started playing peek-a-boo back with us so we don't look so silly all the time (First: June 29th). On July 9th you had your first surgery. We were nervous and the anticipation coming up to the day was rather sickening but you did great and the tubes in your ears have finally stopped the ear infections (praying that this is permanent). You are a dancing queen! You love listening to music and are constantly showin' us your moves! I can't wait to put you in your first dance class (I think daddy is more excited to teach you golf!). On July 23rd you started standing up in the middle of the room! I think you'll be walking way before your sissy did at 14 months. We are headed to California in a few days for your first vacation! We can't wait for you to meet all of your Cali family! We are so excited to celebrate your one year of life next month! Happy 11 Months Sweet P!

10 Months

In your 9 Month post I mentioned that I thought some big milestones were coming for you and they definitely did!  On June 1st you started crawling!  You were pretty slow and methodical at first and took a lot of breaks but every day you've gotten faster and faster.  You are keeping us all busy chasing after you.  The next day I realized that every time we'd get you out of your crib you'd start patting our back.  We always rub and pat your back when you get up from a nap and it shows just how much of a sponge you are!  Looking in your monitor constantly checking on you we finally saw you sitting up in your crib (First: June 4th).  By June 9th you were pulling yourself up on everything.  We had lots of falls but you are getting more stable every day!  You've gotten more and more vocal and we work with you on words all of the time.  You say Dada, Mama, Nana, Baba and on June 22nd you started saying Sissy.  Your big sister was absolutely thrilled you could finally say it!  On the 24th you looked at Daddy as he walked away and called for him.  You've had such an eventful month and you've become so independent and strong willed!  We love every second of watching you learn.  Happy 10 Months Sweet P!

9 Months

Only 3 months until you are a one year old!  We can't believe it!  You've really become a little person this past month.  You are SO active and don't sit still.  You love standing up!  Mommy celebrated her first Mother's Day with you!  It was a wonderful day and you learned the pincer grip and fed yourself crackers that day!  On May 11th you really started talking and haven't stopped since.  You started with ba ba ba, and by May 15th you were on to ma ma ma and called me mama for the first time.  You also went from sitting to all fours that day.  On May 13th you got your first tooth.  Your second tooth came in on May 25th and you said da da da all day long.  Your favorite books are anything with Sesame Street characters.  You love looking at your diapers with those guys on them and laugh and smile at them.  On your 9 month birthday you went from laying down to sitting up all on your own and you took one knee forward towards crawling.  We love watching you grown and are looking forward to this next month.  Maybe some really big firsts will come like crawling and pulling yourself up!  Happy 9 Months Sweet P!

8 Months

8 Months have gone by so fast yet we can't remember life without you! On April 12th you started doing pat-a-cake and on April 13th you started giving kisses! You are pretty much eating anything and everything and love meal time. Avocado toast is your new favorite although you still love your yogurt!  You still aren't crawling but you love to scoot and roll around. You have become quite the momma's girl and don't like when I leave the room and will only let me put you to sleep at night. We think it's just an "attachment" phase and you'll grow out of it (I love it but know Sissy and Daddy want you to be content with them too). You have finally gotten out of your Pack-N-Play and are now in your big girl crib. You still have a hard time sleeping some nights but we are headed in the right direction. You love all of the Sesame Street characters and get so excited to see them on your diapers and in your favorite books! You learned to drink out of a straw this month! You still don't have any teeth but it looks like your first ones might make an appearance soon! On your 8 month birthday you started dancing and it's just about the cutest thing you've done yet! Momma started planning your 1st birthday already since summer is going to be so busy! Happy 8 Months Sweet P!

7 Months

Sweet Palmer, you are already 7 months old! You started swim lessons this month and absolutely love the water (First: March 6th). You have yet to get scared or cry at a lesson; you get more and more brave with each lesson! This month you and your sister were dedicated at church (March 10th). We also picked God Parents for you both and we couldn't feel more blessed to be surrounding our girls with such great people that love you girls just like we love you. You got to go to the Aquarium for the first time but were coming down with a pretty bad cold so weren't feeling the greatest (March 10th). You came to momma's work with daddy to have lunch with me and waved hello and bye bye for the first time (March 14th). On March 22nd you got up on all fours and are getting closer and closer to crawling! We love you so much and can't believe how much you've grown! Happy 7 months Sweet P!

6 Months

You are already half a year old!  How did that happen?!  We are having so much fun with you!  You have the sweetest personality!  You get so excited when one of us gets home and have started to put your arms out for us when we put our arms out to you (First: Momma February 12th, Daddy February 13th).  You love to jump in your jumper (First: February 1st).  You LOVE to scratch everything ALL the time; new materials, new textures...you are scratching away!  You tried a bunch of new solids this month but unfortunately your little body just isn't tolerating anything; we are gonna give it some time.  You love when we clap for you but aren't quite doing it back yet.  You celebrated your first Valentine's Day and we did some fun pictures with you.  Every day you are getting more and more beautiful hair.  On your 6 month birthday you rolled over from your back to your belly.  You are sitting up like such a big girl now!  We are enjoying all that you are learning daily and are looking forward to another eventful month of firsts!  Happy Half Birthday Sweet P!
